Providence Night-Time Brace
Providence Night-Time Bracing Treatment is suitable for Children with Scoliosis
The Providence Nocturnal Scoliosis System is a hyper-corrective scoliosis brace that is worn at night, effective at treating idiopathic scoliosis and easy for children to wear.
Designed for recumbent use only, the Providence Brace is worn both in bed and whilst laying on a sofa or bean bag in the evening before sleep, it is designed to forcefully correct scoliosis curves while the patient sleeps, allowing maximum curve correction during peak night-time growth.
Providence Braces are produced using the latest technologies and methods in the design and manufacture of each individual brace, contributing to positive outcomes and enhancing quality of life for patients.
Providence Night-time Brace
Treatment is suitable for children who have been diagnosed with Idiopathic Scoliosis. It is usually appropriate from 20° upwards in growing children. However, differing levels of curve size and type, diagnosis and patient age are all factors that will determine the patient’s suitability for this treatment.
Brace wear: The Providence Night-Time Brace is worn while sleeping, and in the evening while doing homework or watching TV in a reclined position. For most patients this means 10-12 hours of wearing time and for juveniles it can be up to 16 hours.
The Providence Night-Time Brace has recently been selected as part of The BASIS Study, a 10 year national trial into the effects and outcomes of night-time versus full-time bracing in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.
